IT'S EASY BEING GREEN

and it can save you a lot of money, too

People are starting to accept that global warming is a reality. It is hard, however, to focus on the melting of the polar ice cap when we have more immediate concerns like paying our mortgage and taxes or dropping the kids off at school or soccer practice.

So if we're going to save the planet we need to find an easy way for people to participate, a way that also saves us money today. That is what greenlevittown.com is all about: helping the environment and, while we’re at it, helping ourselves.

Levittown, as America’s first suburb, has always led the way for others to follow. Now we can lead the way again. That’s why I am asking you to help make Levittown America's first GREEN suburb.

We hope to get every one of the 17,000 Levittown homes to participate — even if it means changing one lightbulb. Please join us in the campaign to make Levittown America’s first green suburb.

All it takes is one green minute,

Green Tip of the Week

“Even in the winter your ceiling fan can help improve your comfort and lower your home heating energy consumption. Most fans have a switch which allows you to reverse the motor and operate the ceiling fan at low speed in the clockwise direction. This produces a gentle updraft, which forces warm air near the ceiling down into the occupied space, reducing your need to heat your home.”
